I have alittle quirk with my G15: after a couple days my LCD display will go blank. Still lights up but nothing is displayed. Only thing that fixes it is it unplug the keyboard and plug it back in (well rebooting the computer works too, but this is quicker)

Is there a setting I can change to turn off this apparent sleep mode?

I just encountered the same thing. I have an e-mail sent to Logitech to see if I can get some answers.

In the mean time, I swapped USB ports and rebooted. I also verified that the USB ports were not set to auto power down. (Wouldn't make sense, as the keyboard still worked... but worth a shot.) I also ran MSCONFIG and unchecked a lot of files in my 'Startup' area to make sure that something wasn't conflicting with the LCD software.

So far, so good.

If I get an answer from Logitech, I'll post more info.

I'll try swapping the ports and see how it works.

Had the same problem about a week ago. I unplugged the usb and put it back in. Worked fine, so don't bother switching usb ports all the time.

This isn't a Logitech problem, but a Windows feature. Go into Device Manager and turn off the ability for Windows to turn off "power save" on the USB ports.

Device Manager, Universal Serial Bus, (right click Properties), USB Root Hub, Power Management. Uncheck the top box.

Do this for all USB Root Hubs.

That worked fine for me as well... for a while. Then it went back to the same old crap. Just happened again after a 4-5 hour frag fest on BF2.

I went back and checked my USB Root hubs... I set them to stay on yesterday but for some reason they reverted back to allowing Windows to shut them down. WTF?

I'll keep an eye on that from now on to make sure it's the culprit.

Thanks Courtney.

Not shure though that it is M$ problem this, Logitech should ofc be aware of that and give the option to disable it when installing the software for the keyboard.

It made this error less frequent, i still get the problem though. Especially when using the setting where the most attention seeking app gets priority.
It goes into some sort of sleep mode, where lcd goes blank.

I also got some freaky error where i got 100% cpu load when using TS mod and WombatIRC at the same time. The config window went nuts and i couldnt disable any apps.

Havent happened again, but it got me a little spooked though :)

Other then the above im quite happy with the keyboard.

This error is quite annoying imo,

I have also changed the powersaving setting for USB Root hubs in Windows, I still get the blank screen from time to time (at least once a day). Unplugging the keyboard and then plugging it in again solves the problem but works only for some time before the error occurs again.

I have called logitech who say that they are unaware of the problem . The suggestion I got from them was to unplug all other hardware connected to usb ports in my computer... I can accept that for troubleshooting but still a keyboard should be able to work side by side with other hardware.

If anyone ever finds a solution to this problem, please post it here as I am very annoyed with having to unplug the keyboard all the time.

P.s I also have a Nostromo n52 connected, does anyone else with the same problem also have 1? D.s

LOL!

After posting a minute ago I just checked Logitech's website and judge by my surprise when they have actually released a new driver with the following notes:

Release Notes for V1.01.112:
Fixed shortcut macro assignment to always point to the web browser shortcut after restart of Profiler.
Fixed issue, where the LCD screen goes intermittendly blank.
Fixed lockup issue with LCD control panel (LCDMon.exe).

I have not tried it yet, but I will and pray it solves the problem!

Erm, WTF.

I formatted my PC last week and it solved the problem I was getting where I had to reinstall the drivers every time I restarted the PC. Now I've got this happeneing to me where the screen goes blank and won't do anything till I unplug the keybaord. The drivers are the latest ones and the USB ports are not set to be turned off and yet its still doing it. Anyone have any other ideas as to how to solve this ?
